EMPIRICAL

During the Quartet's fellowship at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance they met and worked with the award-winning jazz quartet ‘Empirical’ as part of Trinity Laban’s unique ‘Co-Lab’ – a fortnight dedicated to engaging with different art forms and genres of music, and hopefully to gain new insights and creative experiences.

Empirical invited the quartet to collaborate with them and subsequently showcased a new set at the London Jazz Festival in the Queen Elizabeth Hall.

In 2013 the two quartets recorded an album together titled “Tabula Rasa" released on Naim Records, followed by a UK tour -both groups revisited this project at the Southbank's Purcell Room in 2019.
